The student Manuel Pulgar from 1st grade from our school got a scholarship given by English Access program that belongs to Instituto Chileno Norteamericano de Cultura with US Embassy. Being the second student who received this scholarship, when Mariruth Morales got it for the first time in 2017.
Among more than sixty public and semi-public schools that applied to this program, our School los Acacios was selected to be part of this huge opportunity to learn english at a high level for two years.
We congratulate Manuel Pulgar for this achievement, we are really proud and sure that he will represent us, with all of our values that a student from Los Acacios School has.
Here we have some words that our student Manuel expressed when receiving the scholarship:
“La primera vez que me hablaron sobre el programa English Access estaba muy emocionado, ya que de poder participar en el me abriría muchas posibilidades, ampliaría mis conocimientos de inglés en diferentes ramas, como por ejemplo las habilidades del habla y la escritura. Cuando me enteré que habían sesenta postulantes de diferentes colegios del Gran Concepción, estaba muy nervioso, pero finalmente eligieron a seis personas donde estaba yo entre uno de ellos y no lo podía creer.»
